Two of our TSC surgeons, Dr. George Lynch, M.D. and Dr. James McDowell, M.D. are board certified bariatric surgeons and practice bariatric surgery at The Metabolic Surgery Center at Baptist Hospital, a Center of Excellence facility.  Here patients are not only offered top notch surgical care, but also have the full support of a bariatric team that consists of insurance specialists, nurses, dieticians, support groups, exercise physiologists, and free surgeon led seminars. Choosing to have weight loss surgery is not a decision that should be taken lightly. It is very important to be well educated about surgical options and to understand the lifestyle changes that will be required both before and after surgery.

Both Drs. Lynch and McDowell offer their patients 3 different bariatric procedures. Each procedure is performed at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. No matter the choice of procedures, patients can feel sure they are getting the best of care at Baptist Hospital. From the time they enter the door on the morning of surgery, until they are discharged home, they are surrounded by a staff that is familiar with weight loss surgery patients and are very aware of the needs of the patients and their families.
